Over the past 20+ years, I had the privilege of working with great doctors and therapists who has influenced my career. Also having experience in multiple multidisciplinary clinics to a destination spa taught me I the value of both rehabilitation and relaxation focused treatments.
My experience allows your treatment to range from long-term focused (eg concussion/mobility concerns) to short-term (eg recent injury/weekend warrior) to relaxation focused (eg feeling tired/stressed). General focus (full body relaxation) to specific (head and neck only). Or likely a combination.
Unfortunately, I have experienced many soft tissue injuries such as: sitting too long/driving (positional) to computer work (repetitive use) to sport injuries (impact). Fortunately, this has led me to meet many different doctors and therapists, learn the theories and experience rehabilitation.
Throughout the years, I have learned that life is dynamic and plans can change. The same client may request a different style of treatment now and again, same with a couple or family member relative to one another.
Formally, I received a Massage Therapy Diploma from Canadian Therapeutic College (Burlington, On.) after receiving a Bachelor of Kinesiology from McMaster University (where I had an interest in biomechanics: the study of human movement).
